Hollingworth Candies started right at home, back when Reagan was president and the end of the cold war was in sight. Our kitchen was heating up as Chester and I began making our Signature Toffee.

Butter, chocolate, pecans and a family recipe. That's it. That's where we started-and it has remained as pure and simple as that day.

We shared our Signature Toffee with our family and friends. And they shared it with their family, their friends, their co-workers, teachers and letter carriers. Before long our whole family was helping out, making and selling the best English Toffee we've ever tasted. We hope you'll agree!

We began selling our Signature English Toffee through local craft shows, and as corporate gifts through mail orders. In 1989, we moved out of our kitchen into a charming storefront in Lockport, Illinois. Our help came from our neighbors and church friends, and Hollingworth Candies began to grow. In 1993, our daughter, Wendy, joined us. It is Wendy's creativity and expertise that continues the tradition now, bringing Hollingworth Candies home to you.
